Machine learning approaches for predicting methylation sensitive CpG island sequences and disease-free interval in ovarian cancer

Differential methylation hybridization (DMH) is an effective technique for monitoring DNA methylation profiles of tumors. Using DMH profiles from 19 ovarian tumors, subdivided into high- / low-methylation subgroups, we utilized supervised machine-learning techniques to successfully construct classifiers to discriminate long- / short-term survival with over 90% accuracy.
