Development of in vitro 2D skin model for visualization and analysis of dermal wound healing

초록

Dermal wound healing process still has undiscovered phase because it is difficult to visualize dermal wound healing in real time. For efficient wound healing study, well-mimicked in vitro skin model is required. In this research and visualization of wound healing assay is essential. In this research, we fabricated nano-wrinkled surfaces with biocompatible PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) polymer to mimic in vivo condition of dermal fibroblasts. The device can chemically wound generation using sheath flow and visualization of wound healing process. Quantitative assay for cellular behavior is conducted in wound healing process. This in vitro skin model can be expected to provide better in vivo mimicked microenvironments and platform for various wound studies.
