One of the most signigicant features of diagnostic ultrasound images is to reduce noise and make better image quality. It makes considerable use of the edge detection and classification properties. In this paper we describe simple and effective techniques for image denoising and contrast enhancement based on the multiscale wavelet edge representation of images. Wavelet signal processing wholly provides a multiresolution decomposition. The fact that wavelet approaches tend to concentrate energy near edge features makes the result rather different than that found in standard Fourier based approaches. A technical method of noise modeling and adaptive filtering for reducing of speckle noise in ultrasonic medical images is presented. Experimental results are presented to illustrate the application of these techniques to ultrasound image types of echocardiograpic images. This methods process a multiscale edge representation of image in order to enhance contrast and reduce noise interference.
