Studies on the Hand Properties of Warp-knitt Fabrics(Effect of structures on the hand value of warp-knit fabrics)

Warp knit fabrics have distinctive characterstics differented from other fabrics. And its structure can be varied wide and easily that the warp knit is very applicable to many articles. But there are not many studies and experts, especilly for warp knit for clothing. So the study of warp knit for clothing all around is required and the systematization on characteristics of warp knit fabrics is needed. Therefore at first, we studied the primary hand of warp knit fabrics of two pattern for clothing and found a relationship between structures and hand properties. The hand is feeling which comes from the mechanical properties of fabrics and the criterion of hand judgements is based on whether or not the fabrics possesses the suitable property to its use as clothing material. This study will be a scientific base for putting characteristics of warp knit for outwear in good order.
