초록

Synthesis and electrical properties of a new Li+ ion conducting Ormolyte: SiO2-PEG-LiCF3SO3 are reported. The traditional sol-gel method was applied to synthesize the Ormolyte. The room temperature electrical conductivity (σ) of the samples was measured as a function of [Li+]/[O] using impedance spectroscopy. The ionic mobility (μ) and ionic transport number (tion) were measured by transient ionic current technique. Subsequently, mobile ion concentration (n) was evaluated using the well-known equation: σ = nqμ. The compositional variations of σ, μ and n were discussed with the help of existing theories. The temperature dependence studies on the transport parameters were also carried out to evaluate the activation energy, energies of migration and formation, and to understand the ionic transport phenomenon which has been discussed in the light of space-charge models. The XRD, FT-IR and DTA techniques were used for structural and thermal studies on the optimum conducting composition.
