Relationships of Serum Eosinophil Cationic Protein with Immunoglobulin Levels, C-Reactive Protein, and Total Eosinophil Counts in Children with allergic Diseases
초록
The measurement of serum ECP concentrations in conjunction with total IgE levels and blood eosinophil counts can be used in the clinical evaluation and monitoring of patoemts with allergic disease. The serum levels of ECP may be useful for the diagnosis of allergic sensitization, especially for food allergens in patients under 3 years pf age. However, thre was no significant relationship between serum ECP and hs-CRP levels in allergic patients, suggesting that ECP is not implicated in the systemic inflammation of allergic disease.
