Regulating Digital Trade and the Updates of the Data Laws in the Republic of Korea

In this chapter examine some major issues regarding privacy protection and the legislation and amendments to personal information protection in South Korea and shows how the country’s efforts to align its data protection laws with international standards has played a positive role in supporting Korean businesses operating.
