초록

To understand the long term change of phytoplankton ecology in the Yellow Sea, we analyzed the environmental data and phytoplankton data produced in the eastern part of the Yellow Sea from 1987 to 2008. The distributions of water temperature, minimum salinity and transparency (secchi disc depth) showed slight increase during 20 years. Mean concentration of DIN has been dramatically increased, due to the increasing input of N from land and atmospheric deposition. The decrease of Si and the increase of N in the Yellow Sea induced the changes in the phytoplankton abundance and dominant species from diatoms to dinoflagellates and nanoflagellates. The primary productivity of phytoplankton in the Yellow Sea has slightly increased due to the increase of DIN, transparency and phytoplankton abundances.
