초록

In this paper, experimental results are presented to analyze the dynamic characteristics of ground resistance due to soil ionization under impulse currents. Soil ionization phenomenon occurred around grounding electrode under impulse currents was analyzed based on the parameters such as potential rise-current () curves, ground resistance depending on electric field, and ionization growth length. As a result, when soil ionization was very little or did not occur, the potential rise is proportional to the current flowing through the grounding electrode. However, in the case where soil ionization occurred, ground resistance was significantly reduced by soil ionization due to impulse current, and the curves appeared as regression shape of a cross-closed loop. Ionization, which occurred from soil near the surface of a hemispherical grounding electrode was developed toward radial direction, in the case of high-resistivity gravel, the reduction of ground resistance due to ionization was significantly greater than that in sand or loess.
