Configuration of Space Program and Response to Public Nature Applied in the Intermediate Space of an Urban Multifamily Housing Complex and Streets

onfiguration of space programs and response to public nature are investigated in the intermediate spaces between an urban multi-family housing complex and public streets in the International District of Songdo new city, Incheon. Through the analysis of existing spatial programs are measured in the boundaries of housing building, outdoor space, community and neighborhood facilities with public streets. As a result, openness to general pubic and connection with streets are well established in the space programs of outdoor areas and neighborhood facilities. Whereas in the boundary of a housing building, controlled access and a sense of pleasantness are incorporated to improve a sense of public nature. As a result, application of city planning guideline plays an integral part to improve a sense of public nature in the intermediate spaces between urban housing complexes and surrounding public streets.
