Comparative study on the Global e-Trade Promotion Policies

초록

Korea has actively promoted the Comprehensive Plan for the Korean Information Infrastructure Establishment and e-Business. As a result, 57% of the population, or 25million people, are actively using the Internet. What is most significant is that Korea's broadband penetration rate is the highest in the world. This kind success in the network infrastructure or hardware of e-business resulted in the most rapidly growing "environment" of e-trade in Korea. However, the policies of Korean government could promote the e-business environment and market conditions in legal and infrastructure terms, but not much of business itself. Considering the limits of e-business promotion policies till now, the government should change its role to enhance the marketibility of the policies. In this paper, we summarized the direction of this turning policies with two parts. The first part of the suggestion should come from the aggressive e-trade marketing in terms of active front-office management. The other part of suggestion could be based on the more stable, reliable and thus standardized network infrastructure with more e-trade hub member countries in a field of the back-office management.
