Flow and Noise Characteristics of Airfoils in Upstream Disturbances with Application of Turbomachinery
초록
The unsteady flow patterns near the trailing edge of airfoil are considered to determine the noise characteristics of the turbomachinery operating at its design point with and without inflow disturbance. The present paper reports numerically simulated results by applying LES with the deductive dynamic SGS model to NACA0018 and NACA65-10 airfoils and a cascade. To quantify the airfoil self- noise and trailing-edge noise from turbomachinery noise, the unsteady flow data on and around the trailing edge of airfoils are employed to compute the far-field sounds and directivity patterns from airfoils by a hybrid approach that exploit Lighthill’s acoustic analogy.
