Relationships of serum eosinophil cationic protein with immunoglobulin levels, c-reactive protein, and total eosinophil counts in children with allergic diseases
초록
Serum ECP concentrations in conjuction with total IgE levels and blood eosinophil counts can be used in the clinical evaluation and monitoring of patients with allergic diseases. The serum levels of ECP may be useful for the diagnosis of allergic sensitization, especially for food allergens in patients under 3 years of age. However, there was no significant relationship between serum ECP and hs-CRP levels in allergic patients, suggesting the ECP is not implicated in the systemic inflammation of allergic diseases.
