관절연골세포와 PLGA powder를 이용한 연골의 생체조직공학적인 제작

초록

Various approaches in the treatment of cartilage injuries exploit the possibility of using constructs consisting chondoryctes cultured on suitable scaffolds produced from biodegradable materials. When implanted into a cartilage defect, these may induce the regeneration of fuctional cartilage. Many studies have investigated the use of seeding chondoryctes onto biomaterials such as, PGA, PLA, and collagen scaffolds. In this study, we investigated the effect of the use of PLGA powder as a scaffold for the constuction of cartilge. The chondrocyte/PLGA powder constructs were became round shapes after culturing. Our results indicated the the engineering design of PLGA powder system may allow it to be useful in cartilage regeneration. For complete fuctional cartilage formation, in vivo evaluations is needed.
