An Agent Protocol For Multimedia Over IP

In this paper, we propose the new multimedia service architecture with agent aided protocol, so called APMN, which has been implemented over TCP/IP network. APMN produces more effective utilization of network resource, and more ensure multimedia service to user than conventional client-server architecture that is spread over network. The empirical result of implementation shows that manage-agent inform the location of media-sever to client, and can restrict the number of clients which are provided multimedia service from one server with consideration of the status of that server.
