Comparison of Smith-Peterson Osteotomy versus Pedicle Subtraction Osteotomy for the Treatment of Fixed Sagittal Imbalance

고정된 시상면 불균형 환자의 치료에서 Smith-Peterson 절골술과 척추경 절제 절골술의 비교

초록

Smith-Petersen osteotomies are recommended for mild sagittal imbalance and will result in less blood loss. Pedicle subtraction osteotomy is more effective with severe sagittal imbalance, especially if combined with a coronal deformity. More blood loss should be anticipated with a pedicle subtraction osteotomy. Concomitant anterior fusions are more likely to be necessary in SPO but are also needed in some of the older patients to reduce pseudarthrosis at the segments being added to a prior fusion
