초록

A supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) system was used to extract the perillyl alcohol(POH) in Korean orange peel. The extract from powder of Korean orange peel was obtained by CO2 at supercritical state, 25 ℃ and 150 bar. The mass flow rate of CO2 was 12 kg/hr. From the experiment results, most of POH was extraction within 8 hr of the total run time, 12hr. The effluents containing POH was 2.5% of the dry powder of the orange peel. By GC-analysis, with the supercritical CO2, the content of POH was 2.8×10-3 (%,wt.) based on the dry powder, which indicated that SFE was approximately 30 times more efficient than the solvent-extraction method previously reported. The resulting extracts were further purified by the solvent of acetonitrile/hexane, and more amounts of POH moved to the acetonitrile phase.
