초록

This study attempts to compare John Cage's inderterminate musical theory to Bernard Tschumi's coding device used in his project for the New National Theater of Japan, to analyze the way how the musical codes are transformed to a design device for programmatic notation, and to define a new theoratical interrelationship between music and architecture in contemporary age filled with indeterminacy.
