This research aims to explore how entrepreneurial orientation affectsnon-financial performance. It also scrutinizes how dynamic capability serves asa crucial mediator in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation andnon-financial performance. This study constructs a mediation model based onthe valid questionnaire data of 187 CEOs in small and emerging businesses andused jamovi 2.3.21 analysis software to analyze the data and test the theoreticalhypotheses and explore the influential mechanism among entrepreneurialorientation, dynamic capability, and non-financial performance. The empiricalfindings show positive impacts of various dimensions of entrepreneurialorientation, such as innovativeness and proactiveness, on non-financialperformance. However, the effect of the risk-taking component of entrepreneurialorientation on non-financial performance is not substantiated, indicating anuanced and potentially selective influence of entrepreneurial orientation’sdifferent dimensions on the firm’s outcomes. In addition, dynamic capabilityplays a significant mediating role between entrepreneurial orientation andnon-financial performance. This study contributes to enriching the academicdiscourse by elucidating the mediated role of dynamic capability inentrepreneurial orientation - non-financial performance nexus, offering anuanced understanding of how firms navigate the complexities of modernbusiness environments. The findings of the study promise valuable insights forscholars and practitioners alike, setting the stage for future inquiries into themultifaceted interplay of entrepreneurial orientation, dynamic capability, andfirm performance.
