On-line Monitoring of Water Toxicity by Continuous Cultivation of Photobacterium phosphoreum

Continous, on-line monitoring system was developed to measure the water toxicity. This system includes continuous cultivation of Photobacterium phosphorium and pumping of this bioluminescent bacteria and water sample separately into the measuring tube. Decline in the bioluminescence due to toxic material was continuously monitored by computer controlled luminometer.
