A Study on the Planning Methodology of Geographie Education Contents Using Satellite Information Data: Case Studies of Geography Education Content in Incheon and Jeju Island; [위성정보 데이터를 활용한 지리학 교육 콘텐츠의 기획 방법론 연구- 인천과 제주도의 지리학 교육 콘텐츠 사례]

This study explores ways to expand the area of use of satellite Information data and increase its value. Specifically, on the premise of using satellite Information data in the field of geography education, a methodology for planning geography education content is presented. For the research methodology, domestic and foreign literature surveys and cases in the content area were investigated and analyzed. According to domestic and international case studies, education was provided to analyze changes in the urban environment by applying Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographie Information System (GIS) technology in geography education in middle and high schools. By utilizing digital media technologies of augmented reality (AR) and Virtual reality (VR), geography education contents that intuitively observe topography, features, and mountain ranges were applied to the education field. In addition, geography education contents were used to increase the understanding of urban planning and regional development by using satellite Information data. Therefore, this study presented a four-stage planning methodology for planning geography education content through domestic and foreign case studies and analysis. The four-stage planning methodology is composed of four stages: coneept design, content scenario strueture, content visualization, content visualization and Focus Group Test (FGT), content marketing public relations (MPR) strategy, and business model (BM) construetion. In order to verify the versatility and usefulness of the four-stage planning methodology, an empirical case study of geography education contents was presented in Incheon and Jeju City. The empirical case study suggests that the area of use of satellite Information data can be extended to the study of geography education content planning methodology.
