Plasmon-enhanced quantum efficiency of phosphor near silver nanoparticles

Recently, Incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp are substituted by LED (light-emitting diode) lighting. Efficacy of LED lighting is better than existing lighting. However, LED is needed to be more efficacy. In generally, blue LED and yellow phosphor is used to realize white light in LED lighting. Yellow phosphor absorbs the blue light and emits yellow light. However, intrinsic losses are occurred during that process.
