Depth image-based rendering of 3-D object on mobile device

초록

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for high speed visualization of depth image-based 3-D graphic data, which can be used effectively for the mobile devices. The proposed approach consists of three steps: reading a set of reference, i.e. texture and depth, images of a 3-D object, performing 3-D warping of the reference images, and splatting each pixel in back-to front order to obtain the final rendered image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm increases the rendering speed when it runs on a mobile device like personal digital assistant (PDA)
