Morphology Control of Poly(ethylen terephtalate)/poly(ether imide) Blend

The PET/PEI blends exhibited combined crystallization and L-L demixing, where a UCST phase diagram was located below the melting point. In this work, we will propose a particular method of the morphology control for the blend. The method involves L-L phase separation to a certain demixing state by SD, and then the rapid crystallization by annealing the demixing mixture. By using this method, it will be show that the "structure memory" of the L-L demixing is maintained during the crystallization fluctuation will be show to be controllable by changing the time spent for demixing before crystallization. Studies of the crystallization will be also described.
