Smart Structures for Shock Wave Attenuation Using ER Inserts

This paper presents the field-dependent complex modulus of a smart plate with ER insert. The impulse is generated fron the piezoactuator patch and the receiving signals are analyzed with respect to the intensity of the electric field.
