AUTOMATED CARTILAGE VISUALIZATION AND VOLUME MEASUREMENT USING 3D U-SHAPE AND GAUSSIAN FILTER

초록

This paper presents a novel method of cartilage volume measurement on the gradient multi echo magnetic resonance images (MRI) by a 3D U-shape filter, a multi-level Gaussian filter and a hybrid level set based automatic cartilage segmentation and estimate its validity by comparison with actual thickness of knee articular cartilage.
