Consideration of diffraction effect in iterative physical optics combining physical theory of diffraction for conducting body

To analyze the scattering by a large and complex object, the iterative physical optics can be accurate because it can consider the multiple reflections among the scatterer. However, the physical optics type method always assumes zero currents in shadow region, which can degrade the accuracy of the method. We propose a new scheme combining the iterative physical optics and the physical theory of diffraction, which can improve the accuracy of the estimation of the surface current, especially in the shadow region. © Institution of Engineering and Technology.All Rights Reserved.
