Establishment and Validation of Inter-converting Method of Pollutant Emission Units

As various policies on pollutant emissions are implemented, various measurement units are in use based on the type of emitting facility, fuel, and appliances used. In this study, we classify the aforementioned units into five categories of emission indexes and establish an interconversion method among them. Using the method, we identified that the NOx emission factors of CAPSS NG were overestimated. Additionally, this method clearly establishes a quantitative relationship among environmental regulatory values of emitting facilities. Finally, this method necessitates the acquisition of the CAPSS emission factors based on the measurement indexes of SEMS and TMS in domestic facilities.
