초록

A new concept of designing polarization splitter based on the multimode interference effect and the birefringence effect of the photodefinable polyimide material is proposed The extinction ratios of the optimally designed polarization splitter were found -31.33 dB and -30.49 dB for TE and TM polarizations, respectively.
