Gas-Discharge simulation and experiments for improving luminous efficiency of color plasma display panels

초록

The luminous efficiency improvement is one of the most important part of large flat panel display device. So, we suggest new type of three component gas, Ne-Xe-Ar, to achieve high luminous efficiency of color PDPs. The density of 26 species and electron temperature were calculated by zero dimensional simulation, and we verified a simulation by measuring vacuum ultraviolet, from 140nm to 180nm, in order to find the optimal mixing condition of Ne-Xe-Ar gas in color plasma display panel.
