A STUDY ON THE SURREALISTIC FEATURES EXPRESSED IN LEBBEUS WOODS' ARCHITECTURE

초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the works of Lebbeus Woods who is one of the contemporary paper architects and to investigate on the surrealistic features expressed in his works. The main focus is placed on how the Surrealistic attitude that negates all sorts of repression coming from the collapse of traditional sense of values and the loss of humanity and that attempts to integrate the reality with the world of unconsciousness, can be associated with architectural formative vocabularies.
