This article has been retracted at the request of a Journal Associate Editor. Post-publication, an investigation conducted on behalf of the journal by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team discovered suspicious changes in authorship between the original submission and the revised version of this paper. During revision, the authors Eun-Mi Lee and Clara Tammy Kim were added to the revised paper without explanation and without exceptional approval by the journal editor, which is contrary to the journal policy on changes to authorship. Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team reached out to the authors for an explanation, but they were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for these changes. The findings and recommendations of Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team were reviewed and confirmed by a Journal Associate Editor. They have determined that the authorship cannot be relied upon and have therefore lost confidence in the results and conclusions of the article and that it should be retracted. The authors disagree with retraction and dispute the grounds for it. © 2026 Elsevier B.V.
