초록
In personal mobile communication systems, efficient use of radio resources can be achieved using various location registration schemes which consider personal mobility patterns. The location area size affects both the signal traffic frequency for location update and the paging signal traffic frequency for incoming call setup. In this work, we designed a fuzzy controller to optimize location area size by considering such variables as occurrence-frequency of originating call and occurrence-frequency of location update within a specific bound The simulations showed that our proposed controller used radio resources more efficiently.
