콴다효과를 적용한 고양력 타장치의 성능해석

초록

Typical cross sections of the rudder are modified to implement the Coanda effect and the consequent changes invoked in the flow fields around the sections are carefully examined for the purpose of finding the shapes of Coanda foils showing the better performance. Subsequently, the lift characteristics of the Coanda foils at the various attack angles have been numerically studied. In the process, special attention has been given to the influence of the jet slit and radius of trailing edge on the lift characteristics of the Coanda foil applied USB(Upper Surface Blowing) and CC(Circulation Control) respectively. Based on the two dimensional results above, the rudder of KVLCC2 is modified to adopt the Coanda effect(USB, CC). Experiments and simulations on flow fields around the Coanda rudder were performed to investigate the effectiveness of the Coanda device on the enhancement of the rudder performance at a range of jet momentums and rudder angles. It is found that the rudder performance of the ship is enhanced considerably with application of the Coanda effect
