On the Robustness of Interconnected/Networked Uncertain Linear Multi-agent Systems

This paper presents decomposable and scalable robust stability and performance criteria for large-scale interconnected and networked uncertain systems. The proposed conditions are obtained by applying structured singular value theory and matrix algebra, are separately verifiable using the subsystem dynamics and the spectrum of the interconnection matrix, and reduce computational demands of the robust stability and performance tests. We also discuss a communication link control problem for which the control objective is a compromise between two conflicting objectives for minimization of unstable regions and maximization of convergence rate.
