Performance Enhancement in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells by Surface Modification of Transparent Conducting Oxide Electrode on Flexible Substrate
초록
The surface of transparent conducting oxide has been modified in order to increase the conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells. Indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin films on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate have been deposited by magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The films thickness is 150 nm and the resistivity of films is 4~6 x 10-4 Ω cm. The IZO electrodes have been patterned with fine geometries of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 μm line and space. The pattern shapes can be line and space or squares or rectangles. After the modification of the surface of IZO electrodes, the improvement of physical and electrical properties of dye-sensitized solar cells has been confirmed. Those improvement leads to the enhancement of conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells using flexible PET substrate.
